The Jacobite steam train leaves Fort William every day during the summer months.

Nevis Range and the Mountain Gondola are a short drive from us and can be also be reached on the cycle track.

We are also situated in an ideal area for walking and cycling directly from The Hayloft.

There is an excellent bus service that passes close by, the timetable can be found here.

There are several nice walks directly from The Hayloft including crossing the River Lochy at the Soldiers Bridge a short distance away. This walk will take you to Old Inverlochy Castle  and also along the river bank past some popular salmon fishing beats. This includes the ‘Tailrace’, the water discharge from power generation – this water has travelled in a 15 mile tunnel through the Ben Nevis mountains.
